Introduction
- This notice serves to inform you about our policy regarding all the information that we record about you. It sets out the conditions under which we may process any information that we collect from you or that you provide to us. It includes information that could identify you («personal data») as well as information that could not. In the context of the law and this notice, «processing» means collecting, storing, transferring, using or otherwise handling information.
- We regret that if you do not agree with one or more of the points below, your only recourse is to leave our website immediately.
- We take the protection of your privacy and confidentiality seriously. We understand that all visitors to our website are entitled to know that their personal data will not be used for any purpose they did not intend, and will not accidentally fall into the hands of a third party.
- We undertake to preserve the confidentiality of all information you provide to us, and we expect you to act likewise.
- Our policy complies with Irish and UK law, including that arising from the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- The law requires us to inform you of your rights and our obligations to you with regard to the processing and control of your personal data. We do so now, and we recommend that you familiarise yourself with the information at www.knowyourprivacyrights.org or www.dataprotection.ie.
- Except in the cases set out below, we do not share, sell or otherwise make available to third parties any information collected through our website.
The bases on which we process your data
The law requires us to determine on which of the six defined bases we process the various categories of personal data, and to notify you of that basis for each category. If the reason on the basis of which we process your personal data ceases to be relevant, we will immediately stop processing your data. If the reason changes, we will, where required by law, inform you of that change and of any new reason on the basis of which we have determined that we may continue to process your data.
1. Information we process because we have a contractual obligation with you
When you create an account on our website, purchase a product or service from us, or otherwise agree to our terms and conditions, a contract is formed between you and us. In order to fulfil our obligations under that contract, we must process the information you provide to us. Some of this information may be personal data. We may use it to: 1.1. verify your identity for security purposes 1.2. sell our products 1.3. provide our services 1.4. provide suggestions and advice about products, services and how best to use our website. We process this data on the basis that there is a contract between us, or that you asked us to use the data before entering into a legal contract. In addition, we may aggregate this information in a general way and use it to provide summary information, for example to monitor our performance in relation to a particular service we provide. If we use it for this purpose, you as an individual will not be personally identifiable. We will process this information until the contract between us is terminated or cancelled by either party in accordance with the terms of the contract.
2. Information we process with your consent
Through certain actions, when there is no contractual relationship between us — such as when you browse our website or ask us to provide you with more information about our business, including employment opportunities and our products and services — you give your consent for us to process information that may be personal data. Wherever possible, we aim to obtain your explicit consent to process this information, for example by asking you to agree to our use of cookies. Sometimes you may give your consent implicitly, such as when you send us a message by email to which you reasonably expect a reply. Except where you have consented to the use of your information for a specific purpose, we do not use your information in any way that would identify you personally. We may aggregate it in a general way and use it to provide class information, for example to monitor the performance of a particular page on our website. If you have given us your explicit permission to do so, we may from time to time pass your name and contact details to selected associates whom we consider may provide you with services or products you would find useful. On this basis, we will process your data until you withdraw your consent or until it can reasonably be assumed that your consent is no longer valid. You can withdraw your consent at any time by informing us at admin@zeus.ie. However, if you do so, you may no longer be able to use our website or our services.
3. Information we process on the basis of legitimate interests
We may process your data on the basis that there is a legitimate interest, whether yours or ours, in doing so. Where we process your data on this basis, we do so after careful consideration of: whether the same objective could be achieved by other means; whether the processing (or not processing) may cause you harm; whether you would expect us to process your data; and whether, overall, you consider it proportionate. For example, we may process your data on this basis for the following purposes: keeping records for the proper and necessary administration of our business; responding to unsolicited messages from you to which we believe you would expect a reply; protecting and enforcing the legal rights of any party; obtaining or securing professional advice necessary to manage business risks; protecting your interests where we believe we have a duty to do so.
4. Information we process because we have a legal obligation
Like everyone else, we are subject to the law. Sometimes we must process your data in order to comply with a legal obligation. For example, we may be asked to provide information to law-enforcement authorities if they request it or have the relevant authority to do so, such as a search warrant or a court order. This information may include your personal data.

You can make a request by contacting us at admin@zeus.ie.
6. Complaints about content on our website
We try to moderate user-generated content, but we cannot always do so immediately after it is posted. If you complain about any content on our website, we will investigate your complaint. If we consider it justified, or if we believe the law requires it, we will remove the content while we investigate. Freedom of expression is a fundamental right, so we must assess whose right is to be upheld: yours, or that of the person who posted the content that offends you. If we believe your complaint is vexatious or without any basis, we will not correspond with you about it. In connection with this.
7. Information about your payment method
At the moment of payment, you are redirected to a secure page on the ‘Secure Trading’ website or another trusted payment service provider. That page may be styled to look like a page on our website, but it is not under our control.

After the employment contract ends, we will retain your file for six years before destroying or deleting it.

11. Complaints
We use this information to resolve your complaint. If your complaint reasonably requires us to contact another person, we may decide to offer that other person some of the information contained in your complaint. We do this as rarely as possible, but it is a matter at our sole discretion whether we provide information and, if so, what information that is. We may also compile statistics showing the information obtained from this source in order to assess the level of service we provide, but not in a way that could identify you or any other person.
12. Information about affiliates and business partners
This is information you provide to us as our affiliate or business partner. It allows us to recognise visitors you have referred to us and to credit you with the commission due for such referrals. It also includes information that allows us to transfer your commission to you. The information is not used for any other purpose. We undertake to keep the information, and the terms of our relationship, confidential. We expect any affiliate or partner to agree to comply with this policy.
